What is Philosophy for Children?

Kindly note that this short course has been cancelled. Philosophy for Children (P4C) builds higher order thinking, questioning, speaking and listening skills. It creates respect for others, promotes engagement with learning and enhances educational development.  A recent evaluation of P4C (EEF, 2016) noted the positive impact of pupil engagement in philosophical enquiry on attainment in English, maths and children’s social and emotional development.

A very successful, thorough and comprehensive introduction to P4C with lots of practical ideas. I feel equipped to give this a good start in class now.
Engaging, interactive, interesting. Lots of practical ideas to take back and use in my own classroom.
It has improved emotional regulation amongst my pupils.
