Nature, prevalence and effectiveness of teachers’ instructional strategies

This research project, funded by the Nuffield foundation, investigates the use of test preparation strategies in relation to Mathematics at key stage 2.

We study the practices teachers adopt to prepare students for this test; examining the features of the test to which teachers are responsive, and how beneficial or harmful their practices are in promoting student learning in mathematics.
