Ms. Sarah Mkenda BSc, MSc in Occupational Therapy, Head of OT Training in Tanzania, Dementia Care and CST trainer.
Assistant Lecturer at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College.

Sarah is a qualified Senior Occupational Therapist and has been working as CST expert and trainer since 2013, following CST training in the UK. She led the Tanzania team in adapting the CST manual for use in developing countries. She has delivered CST sessions to over 100 patients for the IDEA and CST-International projects. Moreover, she has trained more than 100 CST facilitators who are now delivering CST in various health facilities across the country. Sarah has also delivered Dementia Awareness Courses to around 100 carers. Her research interest remains in Mental Health especially Dementia Care.

Mr. Bahati Hassan, Occupational Therapist (Dip OT)

Mr. Bahati Hassan is an Occupational Therapist (Dip OT) providing tutorial assistance at KCMUco department of Occupational Therapy. He is currently taking Bachelor of Science in OT at JKUAT Kenya until 2025.

Mr. Bahati Hassan enjoys using his skills and knowledge to contribute to help elderly people with different needs to reach their possible maximum level of independence in their life. He began to participate in CST work on the Pre and Post Assessment exercise and then trained in facilitating Group CST, which he has started doing at KCMC-Hospital in Tanzania since 2022.

Mr. Ereneus Josiah Rwebogora, Occupational Therapist (Dip OT)

Mr. Ereneus Josiah Rwebogora holds a Diploma in Occupational Therapy since 2013 and works as an occupational therapist, both as a teacher for Occupational Therapy students and as a clinician at KCMC-hospital-Moshi Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. His clinical area of interest is working with adults with different conditions.

He became a Group CST facilitator in 2017 following a training course in CST conducted at KCMC.. From then onwards, he was really interested in running CST groups sessions in every project he was involved in, including running CST group sessions as either a facilitator or co-facilitator. Particularly in Tanzania, especially in the northern part example in Kilimanjaro and Arusha regions, Mr. Ereneus Josiah Rwebogora has worked with many clients (people with dementia and careers) who have benefited from CST group sessions. He is keen on sharing information and encouraging healthcare professionals and carers to observe how CST works and observe good outcomes for patients.
