Trainers

Katja Werheid PhD, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Psychotherapist (CBT), Supervisor in Neuropsychology. Professor at University of Bielefeld, Department of Psychology.

Professor Dr. Katja Werheid (PhD) is an academic neuropsychologist and psychotherapist with specialisation in dementia and old age psychotherapy. She is the author of several textbooks, and has written chapters and papers on dementia and depression in brain disease. Besides her scientific engagement in adaptation, implementation, and dissemination of CST in Germany, she is the Editor of the German CST manual, and provides training and supervision for psychologists and health care professionals starting CST groups.

In 2017, she founded CST Germany (in German: DIKST, Deutsches Institut für Kognitive Stimulationstherapie). Since 2018, she is chair of ANBER, a registered non-profit organization that runs CST trainings in Germany and German-speaking countries.

Barbara Schaubs, Psychologist, Occupational Therapist; Potsdam/Berlin

Barbara’s first profession is an occupational therapist. After several years of professional activity, she studied psychology in Dresden and Berlin and wrote her thesis on CST. Barbara currently works as a psychologist and trainee neuropsychologist at Ernst von Bergmann Klinikum, Potsdam. As a certified CST trainer, she has run several CST groups and provides trainings in CST organised by Kognitive Stimulationstherapie (KST) - Schulung UG.
