Humanities-STEM collaborative projects

PSL Logo
The IAS, UCL’s Cities partnerships Programme and Université PSL (Paris Sciences et Lettres) are funding four new collaborative research projects of three years that include a focus on the arts, humanities and social sciences or interdisciplinary projects between these areas and the natural sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics. Projects will bring together academic staff and doctoral students from across UCL and PSL member institutions.

Interdisciplinary Summer School on Consciousness and Metacognition

Training an interdisciplinary cadre of young researchers capable of bringing fundamental theories about mental function to the testing-ground of modern research methods.

Language In Reasoning

This one-year project focuses on some of these fallacious or repugnant inference patterns as case studies, and investigates what they reveal about reasoning, natural language semantics and pragmatics, and their interactions.

The Off Earth Atlas

This project will consider life in outer space in many different and exciting ways -from what biological definitions of life are to the new social relations that come about in outer space.

Trafficking and Organised Crime Networks: A Complex Systems Approach

This project is lead by Dr Hervé Borrion (Security and Crime Science)
