Their reflections on an intensive week of group seminars, guest lectures, visits to museum and private collections, as well as studio and archive visits, are now available on the UCL Confrontations Blog.

The Confrontations Blog provides a record of the activities of Confrontations: Sessions in East European Art History, an international research project based at the Postsocialist Art Centre (PACT) and supported by the Getty Foundation’s Connecting Art Histories initiative. Through individual posts, photos and video clips, this UCL blog brings together reflections on the first three sessions of Confrontations that took place in Zagreb and Ljubljana in March 2019, Prague and Bratislava in September 2019 and Warsaw and Łódź in February 2020.

The Postsocialist Art Centre (PACT) is led by Dr. Maja Fowkes and Dr. Reuben Fowkes, authors of the recently published Central and Eastern European Art Since 1959 (World of Art) (Thames & Hudson, 2020).
