This meeting of the Reading for Wellbeing group will look at how we can use art and poetry to ground us in the present moment. Alex McIntyre (artist and coach) and Erin Goeres (UCL academic and coach) will talk about how they use art and poetry to support their own wellbeing. Erin will present the Old English poems Deor, The Ruin and The Wanderer and discuss her use of poetry as an aid for meditation. Alex will present selected paintings from the Song collection inspired by the poems of Adrienne Rich, Rebecca Olson and Mary Oliver.
They will invite book club participants to share some of their favourite artworks and poems and to think about how these might be used to support wellbeing.
