This salon will bring together UCL staff working within Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) at UCL to facilitate generative and supportive discussions around EDI work in higher education and its varied forms, from the classroom to policy-making, student services to everyday encounters, and beyond. To begin the session, IAS Post-doctoral research fellows Lo Marshall and Alexandra Baybutt, will briefly share findings from recent EDI-based research with UCL students. Emergent themes from these projects will then become focal points for group conversations around pertinent issues and approaches for addressing complexities and challenges involved in EDI work at UCL, and in higher education more widely.
