From “Artist” to “Value”, what keywords are necessary for a Marxist Art History today? This roundtable will present a discussion centred on some of the entries included in Keywords for Marxist Art History, a special new issue of the journal Kunst und Politik. With contributions from Maggie Gray (Popular), Rose-Anne Gush (Negation), Stewart Martin (Commodity), Alex Potts (Labour), Frederic Schwartz (Public Sphere), Marina Vishmidt (Mediation), as well as the volume's editors, Larne Abse Gogarty and Andrew Hemingway.
Copies of the journal will be for sale. They can only be purchased with cash.
Kunst und Politik has been active since 1999 and is a forum for a critical history of art. It is the yearbook for the Guernica Society and publishes studies on art, culture and politics in the 20th century based on the common premise of a connection between art and politics.
