At this session, you’ll hear from current and previous New Generation Thinkers, Daisy Fancourt and Emma Butcher. They'll share tips on the application process and talk about their experiences on the Scheme. Freelance radio producer, Natalie Steed, who has produced programmes for the BBC, including Free Thinking, will discuss what BBC Radio 3 Free Thinking is looking for, and provide insight into how the Scheme works in practice. Henriette Bruun, Director of Research Facilitation, will also share advice on what makes a good grant application.
Please come to the session prepared to give a two-minute presentation. Imagine you are pitching to a BBC Radio 3 commissioner and you've got two minutes to persuade them to make a 45-minute programme about your research. What do you say?
You can register your place here. If you have any questions, please email Helen Stark (h.stark@ucl.ac.uk).
