REF Results for the Department of Information Studies

Department of Information Studies REF2021 results show that overall, 86% of our research was assessed as world-leading or internationally excellent. 75% of our research impact was world-leading, putting us 8th for impact at UCL.

Research impact case studies focused on transforming access to children’s social care records in England (here and here) and showing the potential of digital humanities research in heritage settings to improve the understanding of Sir Hans Sloane’s historic catalogues.
