I currently teach on the Department's archives and records management programmes.
I gained a MA in Archives and Records Management in 1995 and started my career cataloguing the archives of furniture stores starting with the letter 'H' (Habitat and Heal's) at the V&A Museum. I then moved to The Royal Bank of Scotland and Glasgow University Archives before coming to rest at The National Archives, where I worked for seven years. In 2007 I returned to UCL and have recently completed a PhD on the subject of archival description.
My research interests include the history and ongoing development of the interface between archives and technology and the potential application of cybernetic principles to archival description.
