Global Health Day

As we move from the Millennium Development Goals to a focus on Sustainable Development, global health initiatives will require renewed energy for reshaped problems.

On 18 April 2016, the inaugural Global Health Day celebrations highlighted the breadth of 'Global Health in Action' – both here at UCL and further afield – embracing the mix of priorities, disciplines and ideas needed to shape the future of our global communities.

A keynote lecture was delivered by the new Chief Scientific Adviser of DFID Professor Charlotte Watts, and the global health day competition showcased important global health research and innovations from PhD students and early career researchers from across UCL.
