Gain a project management qualification while you work, free through UCL
23 September 2019
Applications are now open for the pilot of UCL's new Associate Project Manager (APM) Apprenticeship, to start this coming academic year (2019/20). The deadline for applications is 18 October.
As an apprentice you’ll complete a structured training programme, while continuing to work in your current role at your current level. You’ll need to put aside approximately one day per week for about 18 months to complete the training and at the end of the training, you’ll receive an accredited Associate Project Manager Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4). This will include the completion of the Association of Project Management Project Management Qualification.
This opportunity is open to the following permanent staff at UCL who have successfully passed their probationary period:
- Staff currently in PPM roles who are members of the PPM Community of Practice (CoP)
- Other professional services staff with some element of PPM in their jobs and an interest in developing their skills further.
UCL recognises that apprenticeships can be an invaluable development tool for PPM professionals across the community to study and apply that learning straight to projects at UCL, helping UCL achieve its academic mission. If successful this pilot will be rolled out further.
