Join the pilot programme - gain a recognised project management qualification to support your career
25 October 2019
Last few places remaining on the pilot of UCL's new Associate Project Manager (APM) Apprenticeship. The deadline to apply has been extended to Friday 8 November and the programme will start 20 January 2020.
As an apprentice you’ll complete a structured training programme, while continuing to work in your current role at your current level (staff at all grades can apply). You’ll need to put aside approximately one day per week for about 18 months to complete the training and at the end of the training, you’ll receive an accredited Associate Project Manager Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4). This will include the completion of the Association of Project Management Project Management Qualification.
This opportunity is open to the following permanent staff at UCL who have successfully passed their probationary period:
- Staff currently in PPM roles who are members of the PPM Community of Practice (CoP)
- Other professional services staff with some element of PPM in their jobs and an interest in developing their skills further.
UCL recognises that apprenticeships can be an invaluable development tool for PPM professionals across the community to study and apply that learning straight to projects at UCL, helping UCL achieve its academic mission. Mid-tier Apprenticeships are valuable for staff at all grades and are offered at no cost for participants. If successful this pilot will be rolled out further.
