UCL to host a HEaTED network event for technical staff
9 May 2018
UCL will be hosting a regional network event for technical staff on 13 June - find out more and book a place.
UCL is a member of the Higher Education and Technician's Educational Development (HEaTED) South East Network.
The network provides a forum for discussion and communication between technical staff, and staff development/HR colleagues from across the region. It also promotes training events, the sharing of knowledge, skills and best practice amongst technical staff and increased awareness of the opportunities and facilities provided by HEaTED and member institutions.
UCL will be hosting a network event for technical staff and managers of technical staff on 13 June 2018, where there will be an opportunity to learn about the Technician Commitment which aims to:
- Recognise and make visible the contributions of technicians
- Enable career progression opportunities for technicians through the provision of clear, documented career pathways
- Utilise technical skills expertise across UCL
You will also find out about exciting new services provided by the National Technician Development Centre which came into existence in February 2018 and hear about experiences of setting up technician apprenticeship programmes.
Further details and registration for this event (free of charge for UCL staff) can be found on the Eventbrite booking page (the password is UCL).
Places for this event are limited and it is recommended that you book your place ASAP.
