Call for a co-chair for UCL's Disabled staff network
6 June 2018
Enable, the Disabled staff network at UCL, is looking for a new co-chair to work alongside the existing Chair to coordinate and plan its events.
Disabled Staff to get to know each other, make professional alliances, offer peer support, share information and join in social events. Becoming a Co-Chair of this group will provide a fantastic opportunity to influence UCL policy and to promote disability equality throughout UCL.
It has previously been agreed by Provost that departments and divisions “formally recognise, and value, service on UCL’s equality groups as a key enabling activity to support UCL 2034. This means that staff should be given time off from other activities to contribute to these groups and this will be taken into account in workload planning and management. Performing these roles should also be recognised in the appraisal and in the promotions processes.”
