Suicide prevention

Suicide - Let's Talk

This is a free online suicide prevention training offered by Zero Suicide Alliance - a collaborative of National Health Service trusts, businesses and individuals who are all committed to suicide prevention in the UK and beyond. Please find 20 minutes to complete this training. It will make you more suicide aware and may save a life.

We need to talk about suicide

This e-module is developed by Public Health England (PHE) and will support further learning into suicide prevention and intervention. The course is a little over an hour, but will be hugely helpful in building confidence in recognising and responding to individuals where there may be a concern or disclosure of suicidal intent.

Everyone has a role to play in asking about suicide – and you don’t need to be an expert in mental health to do it. If you are worried about someone don’t be afraid to talk to them, you won’t make things worse, and you can only help.
