External Engagement Funding Criteria

• Conference and workshop organisation (where a core staff member is one of the main organisers)
• Public engagement and impact (where a core staff member is working with a practitioner in another discipline and/or local community) 
• Book launches (if one or more academic respondents from outside the department need funding for travel and the event takes place at UCL. However, please explore IAS book launch funding first, if you are eligible)

What is not eligible?

• Conference or workshop attendance
• Book launches to fund catering only

Meeting Dates

The Committee meets three times a year, generally on a termly basis. This year, the meeting dates are:

Autumn term: 22 November 2023 
Spring term: 28 February 2024 
Summer term: 1 May 2024 

Before each meeting we will circulate a funding call and all applications will be assessed by the whole committee at the meeting. In exceptional circumstances the committee will assess applications between meeting dates by circulating them between members for a funding decision.
