Dr Riet van Bremen elected as a member of the German Institute of Archaeology in Berlin

Congratulations to Dr Riet van Bremen, who has been elected as a corresponding member of the German Institute of Archaeology in Berlin.

Riet van Bremen has been elected to be a corresponding member of the German Institute of Archaeology in Berlin (Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, DAI)in recognition of her research in Greek history and epigraphy, pursued in close connection with archaeology, and her involvement in international cooperation’.

As an international body appended to the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the DAI is today one of the three largest archaeological research bodies in the world,  serving as the umbrella organization for German archaeological research throughout the world. It coordinates extensive archaeological activity, publishes a series of journals and scholarly publications, and manages significant research funds.

Election by the board of one of the most prestigious organizations in the field of archaeological research signifies international recognition of excellence. Congratulations to Riet for this wonderful achievement!
