British Academy Funding Call: Global Professorships 2020

The British Academy has launched the latest call for Global Professorships, which enable someone on a contract at an overseas university to spend 4 years at a UK institution, researching and teaching.

Both mid-career and senior scholars can apply.  They must be "recognised scholars or researchers with exceptional promise who are on a permanent contract outside the UK" (which can be part-time but not —usually— temporary).

Candidates should submit an expression of interest to the Director of Research, Dr Nicola Miller. This should include a short (2 page) CV and a statement of what they plan to do at UCL and why they would like to be based in this department (1 page).

The deadlines are as follows:

Internal UCL deadline: 28 October 2019.
BA deadline: 19 February 2020
