Margot Finn appointed President of the Royal Historical Society

Professor Margot Finn, Chair in Modern British History at UCL since 2012, has been appointed President of the Royal Historical Society from November 2016-2020.
Margot was a Vice-President of the Society from
2009-12, and is 'honoured' to
continue 'the tremendous work
of predecessors' in this role. In addition Margot is a Trustee of the Victoria & Albert Museum and was Principal Investigator of the Leverhulme-funded research project 'The East India Company at Home, 1757-1857.'
Margot will shadow current President Peter Mandler until she commences her new role in November.
