1 March 2024

We are excited to share that the UCL Press Open Access Journal, Jewish Historical Studies: A Journal of English-Speaking Jewry has launched on a new platform; providing a more intuitive, improved navigation experience for its global readers.

Text on Green background: Jewish Historical Studies: A Journal of English-Speaking Jewry

First published in 1893, the journal is the official publication of the Jewish Historical Society of England, the oldest historical and learned society of its kind in Europe. Jewish Historical Studies: A journal of English-speaking Jewry publishes original, peer reviewed research that explores the historical experience of Jews across the English-speaking Jewish world.

Jewish Historical Studies publishes one issue per year, and submissions are opened all year to provide an inclusive, fully non-commercial, open access publishing process. There is no cost to authors at point of submission or publication, and no cost to readers. Articles are published on the new journal site and accessed via a number of subject specific indexes, repositories, and search databases to maximise readership. Learn more about the history, publishing process, and how to submit.
