UCL Clinical Academic Training Office (CATO)

UCL is an internationally leading centre for the training of the brightest and most promising clinical academic researchers at all stages of their careers.

The UCL Clinical Academic Training Office (CATO) sits within the Academic Careers Office and the CATO team supports clinical academic trainees in health-related disciplines across UCL and integrates with the UCLH NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and the UCLH Centre for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional (AHP)-led Research (CNMAR).

CATO manages and supports the different UCL clinical academic training cohorts including the Specialised Foundation Programme (SFP), Integrated Academic Training Programme (IAT), Clinical Research Training Fellows (CRTF) and post-doctoral clinical academics including Senior Lecturers/Clinician Scientists plus the wider community of BRC-associated NIHR academics and Allied Health Professionals.
