ACCELERATE Innovation Mentoring Scheme - Call for Mentees!

We are looking for UCL Researchers who are keen to be mentored by leading medical innovators. This scheme will assign each mentee with one mentor that is experienced in the chosen translational research area. Online workshops, guidance, coaching and resources on mentoring practice will be provided to enrich the experience for both mentors and mentees. The scheme will run from January to July 2025. Deadline to apply is Friday 10th January 2025.

ACCELERATE Team Challenge

This thirteen-week hands on training programme will see you apply knowledge and skills to develop a proposal to solve a real-life translational research challenge of your choosing in an interdisciplinary team. Participants will be placed into interdisciplinary teams around shared interests. As a team, you will develop a proposal for an innovative idea that can be solved by the unique combination of skills and experiences of your team members. The programme will be delivered online and in-person, using a blend of formats, including video content, whole cohort sessions, independent pre-work, experiential group work, presentations and Q&A sessions. It will run between 17th March 2025 to 26th June 2025.

Grant Writing for Translational Research Workshop

Wednesday 15th January 2025. In this interactive online workshop, you will learn how to increase your chances of funding success for impact acceleration, knowledge exchange and translational research projects as well as where to find support at UCL. This workshop is aimed at researchers within UCL who would like to get to know more about how to put together a winning grant application for a translational research project.
