2018 Bill Mead Travel Fund awards

The UCL Geography Bill Mead Travel Fund has made awards to a dozen departmental applicants in the 2018 round, including younger members of staff, postgraduate researchers, masters students and undergraduates.

The Fund will support them in the coming months, including travel to Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland, and Sweden.

Bill joined the academic staff of UCL in 1949 and remained associated with the Department of Geography for 65 years. The Fund was established in 1981, when he retired, using monies contributed by Bill and his friends.

Following his death in July 2014, the Fund continues to operate in his memory.
