Fieldwork technicians and environmental research

Ian Patmore, UCL Geography’s longstanding fieldwork technician, features in a Tweet sponsored by the UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy as part of its  #101Jobs campaign. This has been highlighting the different people and roles that are crucial to great field-based teaching, research and innovation.

Ian describes his role over the past 22 years in managing the department’s equipment and field-based projects, including contributing to the resulting scientific analysis and papers.
