Last month, we teamed up with the Nature and Conservation Society for the 'Conservation Conversations: Past, Present, Future' conference

Conservation Conversations

The all-day conference was for current students and alumni of the UCL Geography MSc courses in Conservation and Aquatic Conservation, Ecology and Restoration (ACER) and of the UCL Nature and Conservation Society made up of students on these MSc courses.

The MSc in Conservation is now over 70 years old and the ACER MSc (formerly Aquatic Science and Freshwater and Coastal Science) has been running for 20 years.

The event featured talks from many alumni situated all over the world including the Chair of Natural England, Tony Juniper CBE and Craig Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of The Wildlife Trusts.

This fantastic event finished with a panel discussion and social. Other speakers included:

The conference was a chance to reflect on what we've done, are doing and will do to protect the natural world.
