About the Lecture
Join us for this year's Claire Dwyer Memorial Lecture, presented by Dr Nazneen Pathak as she shares her transformative journey inspired by the Making Suburban Faith (MSF) project. MSF, Professor Dwyer's final research project, was a groundbreaking study that delved into the intricate connections between faith, migration, space, place, and material culture.
As a post-doctoral researcher at the MSF project, Nazneen collaborated closely with Claire, contributing to a prolific array of publications, artistic collaborations, and outstanding PhD theses. This project had a profound impact on Nazneen's career, shifting her path from a migration studies academic to a multifaceted writer, poet, visual artist, and creative producer.
In this talk, Dr Pathak will explore the creative projects and writings she has developed since her work on MSF, illustrating how the project's themes have influenced her artistic work. Her journey highlights the power of interdisciplinary research and its potential to inspire new directions in both academic and creative fields.
We are delighted to welcome Nazneen back to UCL to share her unique journey and the creative works that have emerged from her involvement in Making Suburban Faith.
