- Research Interests
I am interested in the construction of travel as a political object.
My current research concerns the role of the US Passport Office in shaping both policy approaches to, and popular narratives about, the Cold War travel of Americans.
My overarching research interest is in genealogies of security, especially as they intersect with questions of subjectivity, geographical imaginaries and foreign policy.
This research is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council and Arts and Humanities Research Council.
