From the Supernatural to the Uncanny

Prof Stephen Hart and Dr Zoltán Biedermann received copies, fresh from the press, of their new book “From the Supernatural to the Uncanny”. Based on a UCL conference supported by the British Academy, this volume contains 13 chapters on topics ranging from “The Supernatural in Spanish Ballads” (by Dr Tyler Fisher) to “The Face of Death in 1940s Romantic-Gothic Films (by Dr Joana Rita Ramalho). The book is dedicated to the memory of Jo Hodges, a former PhD student of our department.
