R. Gapper Postgraduate Essay Prize Winner

The Society for French Studies is pleased to announce that the winner of this year’s R. Gapper Postgraduate Essay Prize is Charlotte Thevenet (University College London), for an essay entitled ‘Réponse du « Juif » à l’antisémite: Derrida, commentateur de Hegel et Genet’. Congratulations to Charlotte on her achievement.

Congratulations to Lucia Lane (BA French & Spanish 2017). Her essay ‘The relation between beauty and death in Jean-Luc Godard’s Histoire(s) du cinéma’ has been awarded the 2017 undergraduate essay prize by the prestigious Journal, Studies in French Cinema.  Her essay was written for the module, Histoire(s) du cinéma, convened by Dr Roland-François Lack (Dept. of French, UCL).
