Before You Start: OER, IPR and Licensing Workshop at UCL

The OER IPR Support Project, in cooperation with DHOER, is running a free half day workshop OER IPR and Licensing: Before You Start at UCL in London.

The workshop will:
- Provide an overview of copyright and other IPR issues
- Provide an overview of licensing issues and your obligations to JISC
- Explore how these rights will affect accessibility of outputs
- Explore the different types of Creative Commons licences and the impact for your project
- Review the role of risk management and being pragmatic
- Explore the integration of good IPR practice into existing processes
- Outline how the OER IPR Support team can help you
- Provide an opportunity to work through some scenarios / discuss
- issues/ participation in copyright clinic
The workshop will be led by two members of the OER IPR Support Project
Team - Naomi Korn, Web2Rights Ltd and Jason Miles-Campbell, JISC Legal.
