UCL Drama Society presents King Charles III

King Charles III - a play by Mike Bartlett (written in 2014)

Play summary:

As the Queen's death marks the end of the Elizabethan age, Britain moves into a new era, with a new monarch. King Charles, after 70 years in waiting, must rise to his new position. Between inhibitions and rebellion, will he simply rule as his mother did? Or will he attempt to use his new-found power to influence a Britain struggling with its identity?

Trigger warning: This play discusses recent world events including the death of Queen Elizabeth II which viewers may find upsetting. It also includes moderate acts of violence and features language some people may find upsetting.

Running time approx 2h 40min including 1 x 20 minute interval

There will be a pre show Q&A with the cast and director on Friday 18th November 18:30 - 19:00. This is free for ticket holders only and is included in the ticket for that evenings performance.
