UCL Drama Society presents
A feverish, hypnotic, psychedelic comedy that follows four young lovers into the forest as they escape the sharp law of Athens. Once there, they are led astray by Puck at the command of his fairy King Oberon; they fall in love with the wrong person, chase each other round the forest, and fight passionately.
Meanwhile, Puck also tricks the fairy Queen, Titania into falling in love with Bottom, who has been transformed into a donkey. Bottom is part of the Mechanicals, who are rehearsing a play to perform for Theseus and Hippolyta’s wedding. This is a world of transformation, where nothing is as it seems…
Trigger warnings include allusions to drugs and proto-colonialism and flashing lights.

Running time: 2 hour 50 minutes (with a 20 minute interval)
