Join collage artist Stephanie Hartman for a signs and symbols making workshop in the UCL Art Museum.
Using Egyptologist Margaret Murray’s hieroglyph plaster casts as a source of inspiration, play around with colourful paper cuttings to create a ‘symbol of you’.
How would you reflect an aspect of your personality, culture or interests through pictorial language? This workshop will be a fun, chilled space to explore signs and symbols and the ways we communicate who we are to others.
The current UCL Art Museum showcase ‘Not Just Words: Learning Languages through Art and Objects’, which presents an innovative approach to language learning at UCL, will provide the backdrop for this relaxed evening workshop.
