Student Event: Creating Lifelong Wellbeing and Expression in Museum Environments

Workshop
 |
25th Oct 2023  -  9th Nov 2023
Free, booking required.

These workshops are for higher education students only (18+).

Two women are sat on green chairs at a table in an educational setting. They are both looking at an object that the woman on the left is holding and smiling.

Join Art Psychotherapist and UCL Doctoral Researcher Helen Jury for one of three morning sessions, running as part of the Festival of Social Sciences 2023 programme, offering you the opportunity to investigate lifelong wellbeing in-depth in a museum setting.

The sessions will be about exploring different museum collections and environments through handling, viewing and responding, with focus on your own creative interpretation and thoughts and feelings that arise in response to ideas around what lifelong wellbeing means to you. The sessions will offer a safe setting to discuss these ideas together, in an exploratory way, facilitated by an experienced Art Psychotherapist.

UCL is hosting these sessions as part of the Festival of Social Sciences 2023, taking place between Saturday 21 October and Friday 17 November with events running across the UK. This year, the festival will focus on lifelong wellbeing, exploring mental and physical health at all ages and celebrating the 75th anniversary of the NHS.
