Resofit - Resonance FM comedy benefit
Resonance FM - described as “the best radio staton in London” by The Guardian and “the best radio station in the world” by New York’s The Village Voice - needs your help! Coming out of the pandemic without the promise of permanent premises and struggling with mounting costs, in its 21st year Resonance finds itself more hard pressed than ever. Hence this all-star stand-up benefit.
Organised by tonight’s MC, regular Resonance broadcaster Daniel Kitson, “Resofit” sees the comedy underground mining upwards and onwards for independent arts radio. Joining Daniel are Nish Kumar, Sam Campbell, Isy Suttie, Simon Munnery, Rob Auton, Mat Ewins, Celya AB, and (almost certainly) Rose Matafeo.
All proceeds will allow Resonance to continue "operating in an enchanted realm of total creative freedom far beyond the ever-encroaching demographic and corporate timidities of either the BBC or commercial radio" (The Observer).
A all-star stand-up comedy gala to benefit Resonance FM, "London's best radio station" (The Guardian).
Running time: 3hrs 30mins. approx.
