Family Event: Re-Imagining Coral Reefs

Grab your scuba gear and head to the UCL Grant Museum of Zoology to immerse yourself in a VR coral reef as part of our programming to celebrate World Water Day 2024!
Exploring the climate science of reef restoration, learn how humans are collectively ensuring positive whole-ecosystem impact using hexagonal structures called Reef Stars, developing sustainable programmes with local communities and even using AI to track the health of coral reefs by learning the "song of the reef".

This experience has been developed by the Datascape Realities, a collective of artists, designers and scientists working on visualising critical data for public engagement.
This workshop is part of UCL Museums & Cultural Programmes 2023-24 event series Architecting Futures from Past Traces, bringing together art, culture and research.

This event comprises of two sessions:
- Bookable session from 11:00-12:00 (tickets on sale from 15 March 2024)*, please reserve yourself a space by booking one ticket per family group on our Eventbrite page.
- Drop-in session from 12:00-14:00 where booking is not required.
