Research meets cinema in the Pathology museum

Are you a researcher interested in working with screenwriters?

Monday 15th April

11.00 – 16.00

Royal Free Hospital

UCL Culture will open the doors of the Pathology Museum to the Edinburgh Film Festival Ideas Lab on Monday 15th April. Eight experienced screenwriters from across the UK will tour the collection, explore the connections between research, curating, storytelling and science and engage in one-to-one conversations with UCL researchers across a range of topics and interests.

We’re looking for eight researchers, at any stage of their careers, who are interested in engaging with UCL’s Pathology Collections and meeting the writers – and we hope that some of these meetings will blossom into longer term partnerships. Your research might connect to Pathology (Such as Immunology, Microbiology, or Surgical Sciences) or Collections, but equally we’re interested in people who take a wider view of health, history and wellness.

If you are interested in taking part in the Ideas Lab, please contact publicengagement@ucl.ac.uk, including a short paragraph (no more than 100 words) on your research interests and why you would like to take part.

Deadline: Midnight on April 9th

More information about the Ideas Lab is available on the Edinburgh Film Festival website
