Your feedback on questions
There has been varied interesting feedback about the answers and the site in general via ‘Tell us what you think…’ People have pointed out some omissions and others completely disagree with the answers.
- Interest in communism...
One answer generating a lot of comments is ‘Does communism work?’ with some widely differing views and opinions ranging from
‘Very educative and clear development of the argument’
Through...
‘I think that Communism is a half cooked idea… It suppresses freedom of speech and living. We need something better. Better than Communism, better than Capitalism, better than [the] Mixed Economy system.’
To...
‘Oh come on, China? They moved away from a communist economy and adopted a capitalist approach and then realized success. And Cuba? Please. There is no successful communist example because they have all struggled and/or failed… [The] Best example I’ve heard of communism and human nature is a public bathroom. They are not cared for by its users because they don’t own it. They keep their own bathrooms clean but who cares, it’s a public bathroom. Communism turns society into a public bathroom because people lack any incentive to care for it or put in effort because they lack ownership.’
- And about the shape of the earth...
People have shared their personal experiences in response to answers. One example is from someone, watching an eclipse in Alaska, said in response to ‘Is the Earth flat, or a Circle?’
‘I was a little speck on the earth … watching the moon as the shadow started moving across the moon’s surface, ever so slowly that I could very subtly feel the movement and could see the depth of the moon as never experienced before in my entire life!! I will never forget it and would love the experience again. The moon looked like a huge ball and not the usual 2d circle in the sky image we always see.’
