VR Club returns to UCL Computer Science

8 June 2022

VR Club is an informal monthly meeting where the Virtual Environments and Computer Graphics (VECG) Group hosts demos and mini-talks about virtual reality and augmented reality in our VR labs.

VR Club

Who is VR club for?

VR Club is for anyone who is interested in trying new hardware and provides a space to come and chat about the subject area, not matter what your interest level.

All students and staff are welcome to come along. You can bring or send external visitors, but do let us know in advance so we can facilitate access.

What to expect

You will see demos of recent consumer hardware (VR & AR), as well as research prototypes.

Demos might be research environments, but we are happy to show commercial software, including games, if we have a copy.

This is followed by some dedicated time to chat about the hardware.

You are welcome to bring your own demos, and we are happy to take demo suggestions as well.

When is it?

The VR club meets at 5.00pm - 7.00pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.

The club runs at a fixed time allowing external participants to plan their visit.

How can I join?

There are no advanced tickets - just turn up!

If you are external to UCL, please get in touch with David Swapp - d.swapp@ucl.ac.uk, who can arrange your access.
