UCL Institute of Robotics is a cross-faculty initiative to develop a world-class teaching and research platform in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, including more than ten UCL departments and centres.
The First UCL Robotics Institute Workshop took place in July 2021, to bring together UCL researchers in robotics. With 23 invited talks and 31 research posters, the event gave everybody the opportunity to explore the research and development of UCL in robotics.
UCL Provost, Michael Spence, welcomed the event, Head of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Sarah Spurgeon, gave an overview of the Institute of Robotics and Head of UCL Computer Science, Steve Hailes, talked about the new UCL East programme in Robotics, which will see CS lead on this huge expansion into research and teaching in this field.
