III John Lipscombe Memorial Travel Awards

Six to eight John Lipscombe Memorial Travel awards up to a value of £500 are available this academic year to PhD students registered within the III Research & Teaching Department presenting work at a relevant scientific meeting.  These awards are supported by a bequest made by John Lipscombe’s son Richard who completed a PhD at the Institute of Child Health in 1994.

The awards can be used to cover travel expenses (flight and accommodation) or registration to online meetings.

Awards are made on a competitive basis, on the condition that an abstract has been accepted, and preference given to non-clinical graduates. Applications should be submitted by the PhD supervisor (with details of scientific meeting, confirming abstract has been accepted, and breakdown of costs to be claimed) with a brief statement of support from the Section Head for any student showing evidence of exceptional promise and planning to present work at a relevant scientific meeting this academic year.
