Low intensity psychological interventions

Low intensity psychological interventions

Low intensity psychological interventions require less therapeutic input; can be provided by any trained practitioners or supporters, often with less specialist training; usually have less than 6 hours of contact time and sessions typically last 30 minutes (Shafran et al., 2022)

In May 2022, two days of hybrid training were delivered to non-mental health specialists who will be delivering therapy at different sites as part of the Lucy project.

Attendees were introduced to guided self-help, information gathering and discussed strategies to best support children with chronic illness who are struggling with their mental health.
