Katherine Clarke is Senior Research Fellow and Coordinator of the NIHR funded ODDESSI Research Programme investigating Open Dialogue delivered by NHS teams for people experiencing mental health crises
My research has largely focused on studies of the effectiveness of healthcare innovations, with a particularly focus on wellbeing and the long-term preservation of mental health. My PhD looked at how relapses of depression might be prevented, and used complex systems theory to structure a novel wellbeing intervention which was then developed and tested within IAPT services. Alongside coordinating the ODDESSI programme I supervise Masters projects and provide support and training to a team of Research Assistants.
