ICS academics named in annual global list of influential researchers

The Institute of Cardiovascular Science is proud to announce that Professors Derek Yellon, Derek Hausenloy and James Moon have been named in the 2021 Web of Science annual report of highly cited researchers from across the world.

This annual report identifies the world’s most influential researchers, demonstrated by the production of multiple highly cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science.  Of the 48 researchers at UCL given this distinction, 3 are from the Institute of Cardiovascular Science.

Compiled from 21 research fields and across multiple disciplines, fewer than 6,700 (0.1%) of the world’s researchers were awarded with this honour in 2021.

Continuing to have such recognition highlights the ongoing dedication and hard work of Professors Yellon, Hausenloy and Moon and their entire research team at the Institute of Cardiovascular Science.
