Institute of Cardiovascular Science iBSc student wins prize for best presentation

Angelos Anastasakis, currently a fourth year medical student at UCL, undertook a summer project under the supervision of Prof David Abraham and Dr Markella Ponticos at the Royal Free Centre for Rheumatology and Connective Tissue Diseases. He was awarded a prize for the presentation he delivered at the National Pulmonary Hypertension Physicians Research Forum, which was held at the Chelsea Physic Garden in London. Angelos presented his work on the metabolic reprogramming of pulmonary arterial smooth muscle cells in pulmonary arterial hypertension.
