Biography

Maj Plemenitas is an inventor, researcher and educator. 

He is the Founding Director of LINKSCALE, the international award winning research organization based in London, Academic at the UCL Bartlett School of Architecture and the Co-Founder of AMPHIBIOUS Lab.

He is focused on CSD Cross Scale Design and multi-scale strategies, systems and structures in Architectural, Urban and Landscape context. For his innovation and original research, Plemenitas received a range of awards and grants including the inaugural Sir Peter Cook Award for the best design research work in generation, 10⁻⁹] LINK [10⁹, Innovation in Construction Award and the Holcim Prize for Sustainable Construction. Plemenitas lectured internationally at leading global institutions including Harvard GSD, American Institute for Architects (AIA) New York and Center for Architecture NYC as well as in numerous peer reviewed conferences in Europe, North America, Australia and Asia. He exhibits globally in venues including the Royal Academy of Arts and Venice Biennale amongst others. Plemenitas has written and published numerous publications and peer reviewed papers on the role of cross-scale and multi objective design, computation and production in Pelagic, Amphibious, Landscape, Urban and Architectural context.
