There are 28 letters in the Arabic alphabet.

1. Arabic letters which are pronounced the same in English

ز		z	as in Zen
س		s	as in same
ش		sh	as in ship

ي		y	as in you, yes, yard
	or	ee	as in deep

2. Letters which are not pronounced in English but might be pronounced in other European Languages
